This is the best time to ask your favorite watering hole, book store, toy shop, bike mechanic, car mechanic, restaurant, therapist, dentist, artist, masseuse, hair snipper, knitting needle store, grocery store, musical instrument repair technician, art museum, children's theatre, adults theatre (not that kind!), dance instructor, martial arts aficionado, yoga guru, pet sitter, friend with awesome weekend getaway to donate their item, time or expertise to our Green Lake Elementary School Auction.
Be specific when asking for a donation! Example: "Mr. Dance Instructor, would you donate one hour of private tango lessons for two people?" Do not worry about being told you're the third person to have asked for something from a particular business. I'll bet thirty people asked Karen at Cafe LuLu's for a gift certificate last year. When a business is asked repeatedly it means that we all frequent that business and think of it as our own. It is a compliment to them to be asked more than once, so ask with confidence, believe in the cause, take a procurement form with you, and go get’em!
Print out a procurement form or pick one up in the School Office.
